Marisue Cody, Ph.D., R.N.,
received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University
of California at Los Angeles in 1975. She has a Master’s in Science in
Nursing from California State University at Long Beach and was certified
as a Family Nurse Practitioner in California from 1980 to 1995.
Her clinical practice spans
acute hospital care, nursing administration, hospice nursing, ambulatory
care, and long-term care. She attended the University of Southern
California where she received a graduate certificate in Gerontology from
the Andrus Center of Gerontology, a Master’s in Public Administration in
1989, and a Ph.D. in Public Administration in 1992.
Dr. Cody joined the faculty of
the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, College of Nursing, and
Little Rock Veterans’ Administration Health Services Research and
Development Field Program in Mental Health in 1996. She serves as site
investigator for a multi-site study "Ambulatory Care Quality Improvement
Project," directed by Steve Fihn at the Seattle VAMC. Her current work
is in the area of service use and outcomes of care for patients with
dementia. |
