    The Education Core is working to meet goals in several areas:

    1. Recruitment and retention of students into geriatric nursing through UAMS College of Nursing gerontological nursing programs (including adding a BSN Honors program and BSN to PhD tracks for gifted students) 

    2. Revision of curricula on gerontological nursing in undergraduate and graduate levels

    3. Placement of GNP students in interdisciplinary clinical sites for required practica

    4. Sharing expertise on gerontological nursing with other schools in the southern region

    5. Development and maintenance of a website offering caregiver support and education

    6. Collaboration between the College of Nursing and interdisciplinary researchers to create a standardized research database for high rise practice sites.
